This is an old record and has probably been updated since I saved it.

Genealogy publishing
Up early-ish this morning and found a message on email from the Genealogy Publishing list on Yahoo. There were a couple of useful posts regarding getting your book in print.
One link: http://otter-bay-books.com/guide-for-authors/ seems like a good place to start. There is lots of advertising text, but even that in interesting and useful in helping choose a publisher. This is just one example of a publisher. It has some guidelines for margins (their "Roadmap") that I will use in my own publishing efforts.
Another poster suggests using Lulu.com for 'publishing-on-demand'. I have heard of Lulu before but have not been there myself. It might be instructive to see what they have to say.

Looking for James UPTON
Today I was reading a newsletter from the Logan (Utah) Family History Center which mentioned posting our genealogical data online as well as posing questions about our ancestors. I decided to raise a question for a gentleman for whom I have given a bit of help over the years. He is looking for more information on James UPTON who was born about 1819 in Ireland. He married a woman named Sarah DESSIE. If anyone knows more specifics about James and Sarah, Peter would really be happy. Thanks.

Addenda to the previous post, plus newsy bits
As it happens, THREE of our children will be bringing us grandchildren this year! Good work, Kids! We absolutely adore the six previously gifted grandchildren and know this new batch will be just as well-loved.
The trip to Utah to celebrate Jessie's graduation from law school was wonderful. All her children and grandchildren were there and three of our kids. Such a fabulous family time. It could only have been better if Bob and the remaining posterity had been able to attend. Bob was saving his "time" for hiking The Long Trail in Vermont starting shortly. His hiking schedule may change due to putting up a little addition to our house to keep the old(er) lady happy and comfortable. He is a superior man.

Not Still Asleep in Mexico!
When last you saw us, we were heading to bed in our beautiful villa in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Since then MONTHS have gone by. We had a fabulous time in Mexico, though we both came home a little under the weather. The climate is lovely there. By a fluke, it rained every day. Such a nice rain, most of the time. The red and yellow flags flew on the beach so we did not get much swimming-in-the-ocean time. We did enjoy the multiple pools, however. And on another subject, the breakfast chef can certainly whip up a delicious omelet in no time at all.
Now we are in March. The snow is beginning to melt and some people have started sugaring. The best news we have had is that two of our children will be giving us new grandchildren this year, a total delight.
